Why made-to-order furniture beats buying off the floor

Felindo started because our founder could not find a couch that was the right size, the right colour and built to last, all at once. The showroom pieces were close in two out of three. So we built our own, and then a workshop, and then a company. Felindo means happy, beautiful spaces, and every piece we make is built to order for one specific room: yours.

You get the size your room needs

Off-the-floor furniture comes in the sizes the factory decided on. Made to order means the 3.2 m L-shape can be 3 m because your wall is 3.1 m, the chaise can be on the left because that is where the window is, and the headboard can be king because you already own the mattress. On our website you choose all of that on the product page and the price updates before you pay.

You choose the fabric

Every couch, chair, ottoman and headboard is upholstered in our own workshop, so the colour and fabric are decisions, not a lottery of what is in stock. Corduroy, velvet, leather-look or standard upholstery in neutrals and colours, and if you want something we do not list, we can usually source it.

It is built here, by people you can talk to

Our frames are built, foamed and upholstered in Kya Sands, Randburg, by our own upholstery and carpentry teams. You can collect from the factory and see where your piece was made. If something ever needs attention, the people who built it are the people who fix it.

It takes 18 to 21 working days, and that is the point

A couch that is ready today was made for nobody in particular. Ours take three to four weeks because the frame is cut after you order, the foam is chosen for your piece, and the fabric is cut for your colour. We confirm the date when we start, and we tell you if anything changes.

It lasts

Disposable furniture is replaced every few years. A properly built frame with good foam and upholstery that can be cleaned, repaired and even re-covered is bought once. We think of every piece as the start of something that stays in the family, which is why we build it that way.

Make your space a Felindo space: choose your size, colour and fabric online, pay in full or spread it with Payflex or PayJustNow, and we will build it.
